Midwest FastPitch League

Starting in the spring and summer of 2020. Planning meeting scheduled for February 3rd. (Location and time TBD)

Overview

The MFPL is an organization being created to provide travel teams from nearby communities the opportunity to play in a competitive league and tournament games based on their team’s skills and availability. In addition to playing within their own communities teams will be able compete with teams outside of their area in games and a regional tournament held at the end of the season.

Details will be as follows:

  • League is being called the Midwest FastPitch League (MFPL)
  • We will form two divisions at each age level consisting of 6 teams at the 10U-18U levels
  • We will form several 6 team leagues throughout the Chicago and suburban area
  • Each team in a division will play each other twice throughout the spring and summer
  • We will hold a scheduling meeting in February so teams can schedule games within their division
  • Teams will play their league games within their communities
  • Games will be required to be completed by a specific date
  • Home teams are required to supply a field and compensate one “patched” umpire during league, games. Fields and umpires may be provided upon request. There will be an additional service fee of $25 for this service.
  • Teams will play a total of 12 games – (5 home games, 5 away games and 2 cross division games)
  • Teams will be required to report scores to the league coordinator
  • Standings will be kept by the league
  • Teams will compete in a double elimination championship tournament at the end of the season
  • The league results will determine the post- season tournament seeding
  • 20/20 Tournament will be held at Harrer Park in Morton Grove (Dates TBD)
  • Championship games will be played at Bandits Stadium in Rosemont IL, in July (Dates TBD)
  • Trophies and medals will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place teams


    League Entry
    League entry will be based on your team’s location and will be limited to 6 teams per division. We are looking for teams within the same region to make playing weekday games more accessible.

    The league entry fee is $400.00 for membership.  This fee is collected to cover administrative and organizational costs. This is a non-refundable fee. The end of the season tournament is included in this fee; all teams are required to participate.
